Ray Shah
Ray Shah studied and worked as an I.T professional for six years until the cheeky-chappie Dubliner rose to fame when he became a housemate in the 2003 UK version of Big Brother.

After surviving 64 days, he achieved the runner-up position but will mostly be remembered for his infamous late night fumble under the duvet…with himself!! Ray emerged from the Big Brother house a rising star and in a one-off Channel 4 show, “Top 20 BB housemates”, he was even voted the 5th top Big Brother contestant of all time by Channel 4 voters!

Since his BB days, Ray has carved out a successful and credible media career in Ireland working in both the TV & radio industry and as a club DJ. Ray was even asked to play the King in the musical ‘The King and I’ on tour, with his resemblance to a young Yul Brenner!

You can hear Ray on Dublin radio station, Q102, Monday to Friday where he injects his own unique sense of fun into providing entertainment to the thousands of Q102 listeners as he visits people’s workplaces, homes and on the streets of Dublin. On Saturday he co-presents Dublin’s Q102’s entertainment show, “The Big Saturday Show” where each week he interviews celebrities from the world of TV, film and showbiz.

Over the last few years, Ray has worked hard making his name as a club Dj and has played in clubs in Marbella, La Manga, Ibiza and all over Ireland to thousands of people. That work and experience has certainly paid off as Ray is now regarded as one of Ireland’s top party DJ’s.

Along with his DJ’ing and Radio presenting, Ray has also presented on Irish television stations RTE, TV3, City TV Channel and has been a guest on hit shows like Podge & Rodge, The Panel, Ireland AM and Xposé to name a few.

Ray is very much a people person and is a celebrity fundraiser for his favourite charity, Temple Street Children’s Hospital. In the summer of 2009 he took his love for Temple Street to a whole new level after he willingly became a contender on RTE’s ‘Charity Lords of the Ring’ boxing competition! Along with 10 other celebrities, he helped to raise €100,000 for their favourite charities, €10,000 of which, went to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Ray epitomises the saying ‘Work hard and you’ll succeed, luck has nothing to do with it!’

Ray Shah is delighted to be represented by Red Carpet and is available for DJ’ing, Hosting, Promotional Events and Personal Appearances.
