After also studying at Manchester School of Screen Acting, Roxanne then landed a development deal with a major London record label, where she spent time songwriting and recording.
After theree years of auditions in both acting and music, Pallett turned down a record deal when she won the part of Jo Stiles in ITV's Emmerdale. This would be the role that would launch her as one of the nation's most loved actresses.
With nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Female and Best Story-line for her agonising role of femme fatale turned battered wife Jo Stiles-Sugden, Pallett proved to be more than just a pin-up for her audiences. She also showcased her vocal talent on ITV's Soapstar Superstar and was the winner of Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes as Gloria Estefan.
In 2008, Roxanne became an ambassador for Refuge, in light of her recent domestic violence storyline. She also supports Carlisle's Eden Valley Hospice, Breast Cancer Awareness and the NSPCC.
After three years in her debut role, she recently closed the chapter on her Emmerdale character to look to future projects. She credits the success she had to her loyal audience whom, she claims, brought her to life in believing in her.
One of Roxannes most recent project was of course ITV's hit Sunday night show Dancing On Ice for which she was partnered with the amazing Daniel Whiston. Having never skated before, Roxanne did incredibly well and skated through the series with the most stunning and daredevil of routines. Roxanne is now back in training and is preparing for the Dancing On Ice Tour which will see her skating her way all around the UK.
