On London’s West End stage, she has starred in a further seven smash hit musicals including Gone With The Wind at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane; Gypsy - Piccadilly Theatre; Cats - New London Theatre (original London cast); The Pirates Of Penzance first at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and later at the London Palladium; Peter Pan - The Musical (playing the title role) at the Aldwych Theatre; Me And My Girl - Adelphi Theatre, and her much acclaimed portrayal of Charity in Sweet Charity at the Victoria Palace Theatre. She has also appeared in three Royal Variety Performances and numerous Royal Galas.
On Broadway, she starred at the Winter Gardens Theatre in a revival of the musical Gypsy opposite Angela Lansbury, following a highly successful major US tour. Bonnie appeared in the hit musical film Bugsy Malone and has starred in many British television series including Just William, the award winning Hot Shoe Show, and BBC TV’s science fiction series Doctor Who - playing the Doctor’s Assistant , Melanie Bush. She has been the subject of TV’s This Is Your Life.
Other recent television appearances include Marple (ITV1), Strictly Dance Fever (BBC) as a consultant and advisor to the contestants and a Celebration Of The Sound Of Music (BBC1). She was a regular co-presenter on the award winning Sandi Toksvig Show for LBC Radio and has presented her own programme on many occasions both for LBC and BBC Radio.
Also in theatre, Bonnie has travelled extensively throughout the UK in many musicals and concert tours, most recently headlining the US company of Fosse on the British leg of their International Tour. She created the role of Judy in Pete ’N’ Me at the New End Theatre, Hampstead, and starred in Big Night Out - a new musical play written by Sandi Toksvig with music by Dillie Keane. She continues her great association with Sandi as they tour the country with their comedy showShort And Curly.
At Festivals and concert venues around the World, Bonnie’s one woman showplays to enormous critical acclaim, paying tribute to music from stage and screen along with jazz, soul and current chart hits, accompanied by her big band of highly skilled musicians.
Her albums include Cats (Original Cast Recording), Gypsy (London Cast Recording), Wuthering Heights, Oliver, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein II, Leading Ladies. She has revisited her role of Mel in several of the Doctor Who audio dramas produced by Big Finish Records.
